Terms and Conditions
- Course fees do not include travel, accommodation, flights, visas, site establishment, site induction or any other costs.
- Cancellation fees will be charged on any booking not cancelled at least 72 hours (3 working days) before training date for local training:
- 48 hours cancellation will incur 50% payment loss
- 24 hours cancellation will incur 100% payment loss
- Cancellation of international courses must be done 14 working days in advance, or it will incur 100% payment loss
- In the event where a learner does not attend training booked or prior arrangements were not made (records as proof required), the client will incur 100% payment loss for the course booked.
- Prices stated on the price list and quoted on are subject to change without prior notice.
- Learners who fail to hand in a portfolio of evidence at the conclusion of the course will not be found competent due to lack of evidence and will still be liable for payment of course.
- Learners are required to produce a certified ID / Passport copy before training commences and those who fail to do so could be refused acceptance onto a course or issue of certificate.
- Learners are not permitted to be involved with other tasks for the duration of the course.
- When the training is presented at a site of the clients choosing, the client has the responsibility to supply a suitable classroom or conference room with tables, chairs, power outlet and presentation capabilities.
- All training is delivered in English, unless otherwise arranged. Should the learner not read or write English, then it is the clients’ responsibility to provide a translator for their learners at their own cost
- Candidates are to supply their own meals and refreshments for the duration of the training.
- Any terms and conditions stipulated elsewhere on the quotation shall also be applicable.
- Learners attending online courses that fail their 1st assessment will be required to attend retraining at 50% of the course rate (online) before attempting the 2nd assessment. Should any learner fail their 2nd assessment they will have to redo the full course at full course fees.
- Optional: Meals can be provided to learners attending training at ALVA’s premises at a cost of R75 per learner. This should be indicated on the training booking form prior to payment.
General
- Bookings will not be confirmed without a signed booking form and payment in full.
- All online training is conducted via Teams
- Alva Training will send all certificates electronically. Hard copies can be ordered at an additional fee of R100,00 per certificate
- Alva Training reserves the right to cancel the class should the minimum number of students not be fulfilled – a new date will be scheduled.
Note: All working at Heights training require:
- Training taking place at the branch / client’s premises, the facilities and structure required for the training must
be provided by the branch / client. - Certified ID / Passport Copies
- Valid Medical certificate of fitness indicating “fit to work at height” with Annexure 3 not older than 3 months.
- The correct PPE for the relevant course (Safety shoes, Hard hat, Gloves and Safety glasses)
Please note that if the client is unsatisfied with training they received, an inquiry must be submitted within 24
hours after the specific course was completed to “investigate” the matter.
No refunds will be submitted should the matter not have been reported 1 day after the training. ALVA Group reserves the right to refund as they see fit.
